Servo drives power electric servomechanisms and manage their performance. They do this by monitoring feedback signals and continuously adapting to the unexpected behavior of closed loop systems. Continually adapting helps to improve the overall performance of your motor by increasing acceleration rates and giving you more control over your robot's speed and position.
AC servo drives accomplish all of the tasks a traditional servo drive does, but they are specifically designed for AC motors, and provide the added advantage of motor feedback.
