I am new to GigE Vision and need a generic C++SDK to access GigE cameras from all vendors. I purchased a camera from DaHeng (https://get-cameras.com/) and created a C++ class to access it. Now I downloaded and installed pylon Viewer from Basler to check if I can access the DaHeng camera using software from another vendor. Since GigE Vision is a standard I was thinking that should work but it doesn't. Is my understanding wrong here that GigE Vision is a standard that should work with all software from all vendors?

Hi I am having an issue where our GigEV transmitter we are trying to develop is correctly being discovered, and connected to. Once the stream settings is updated and the stream enabled I can see on wireshark the GVSP data is coming in fine with no errors and the leader, data and trailer packets is there without errors. But we cannot seem to get this displayed on a host player. We are using eBus Player from Pleora technologies to test. But once the acquisition start command is called I see no image or any update in the stream statistics counters, not even in errors. So I am a bit confused on how to debug further. The destination address and port is fine, the resolution and packet size is fine, the payload size is fine. Is there any more in depth testing software that I do no know about?

Having an issue of image capturing not refreshing after any action on inspection options defined. At first it starts normal, if it found any odd object it asks for action then if I choose any accept or reject imaging stops, if I restart application it works. The application was working fine earlier, what could be causing the problem?

Good morning, I am carrying out experiments on fish behaviour and for that I need to be filming the trials. In the past I have used CCTV cameras (one at each side of the tank where the fish are) and even though the quality is good, I require a single camera with a wide range to capture the whole tank from above. I have also tried a GoPro 3 hero, and the range is good, yet the image quality is not the best under the low light conditions of the room and I can't spot the fish when watching the videos. The room is illuminated mainly with red lamps. I would like your opinion on this - which type of camera I should be looking for and preferably with a software that allows controlling the camera through a computer/tablet. The tank is 7 metres in length and the ceiling above it around 3 metres high. Thank you!

We’re looking for a solution to photograph bearings and shafts 7 and 3mm dia respectively after applying grease or adhesive during automated manufacturing. Photographs are close-ups (macros) and require focus stacking. Results are stored for later use in order to diagnose end of line tester and others.
