Joseph F. Engelberger
Robotics Awards
Named after Joseph F. Engelberger, known throughout the world as the founding force behind industrial robotics, the Engelberger Robotics Award is the world's most prestigious robotics honor. The awards are presented to individuals for excellence in technology development, application, education, and leadership in the robotics industry. The Leadership Award is given each year, while the other categories are rotated by year.

Foundation Robotics Grants
Robotics pioneer Joseph F. Engelberger was keenly interested in the advancement of service robots that could be used in the home or help the elderly. Each year, the Engelberger Foundation and A3 honor this legacy by awarding two $7,500 grants in two categories: Elder Care Robotics and Women in Service Robotics.
A3 Educator of the Year Award
The A3 Educator of the Year Award seeks to honor individuals who have demonstrated exemplary commitment, innovation and dedication to shaping the next generation of professionals in this dynamic and rapidly evolving industry through teaching. It recognizes educators, secondary or postsecondary, who are committed to delivering high-quality robotics and automation programs, demonstrating innovation in teaching methods, student development and leadership in improving smart manufacturing.
The A3 Vision & Imaging Achievement Award is the vision and imaging industry’s top honor. Since 1991, the association (formerly AIA) has recognized individuals for their leadership and outstanding contributions in promoting market acceptance and growth of industrial and/or scientific imaging. Recipients span the globe and include men and women who have shaped the industry.
