WITTENSTEIN Product
The new cyber® simco® drive 2 controllers are up to 30% more compact than their predecessor and offer maximum connectivity with their multiple ethernet interface. They also feature real-time CIP sync functionality, decentralized intelligence and STO safety function.
Connection to the PLC in real time via a multi-Ethernet interface, a space-saving and installation-friendly design with electronics integrated in the motor and decentralized intelligence directly on the axis with the ability to generate motions directly in the servo drive, thus relieving the machine’s automation system.
The CDS is the motor-integrated version in the second generation of WITTENSTEIN’s industrial-grade small servo drive system, which takes a new approach to automation connectivity. The system is offered with both a CANopen and a multi-Ethernet interface for EtherCAT, PROFINET and EtherNET/IP CIP Sync, and in the future will also be available with SERCOS III. It combines the ease of use of popular fieldbus technologies with maximum flexibility as regards the PLC connection.
The new EtherNet/IP CIP Sync interface additionally supports motion control applications which are subject to complex real-time requirements due to their high dynamics and precision, and which demand isochronous Ethernet communication. This is a groundbreaking feature in the extra-low voltage range which ensures proven, simple connectivity in real time in different fieldbus environments.
The motor-integrated version features decentralized intelligence directly on the axis and saves space in the control cabinet.
The servo motors of the cyber® dynamic line are available with a multiturn encoder (size 32/40), holding brake (size 40), planetary gearbox or ball screw drive.
The cyber® simco® line includes servo drives for sine-commutated servo motors in the voltage range from 12 to 60 VDC and a maximum capacity of up to 5 kW. The servo drives are availabe as control cabinet variant or in a decentralized design with protection rating IP65. In combination with the intuitive MotionGUI software, simple parameterization, commissioning and optimization of the system as well as flexible programming of applications is possible.
