If the internal diameter of your parts is very small you may have to find a very compact technology for this application. Defects such as the ones you mentioned (tears or air bubbles) will most likely cause a change in shape of your part, even if very minimal. This change in shape can be detected by a 3D laser sensor. Hello, with an application like yours you may want to implement a contrast invariant technology.
