We have focused on the perfect connection of the cameras, image processing periphery and machine control to the VisionBox/Cam; Long-term availability of over 10 years through carefully chosen components; Real-time capability from the subcomponent under Windows up to the Real-Time OS; Extensive engineering support during the layout of the VisionBox/VisionCam and Macro systems which combine our hardware with individual middleware, including e.g. Halcon Embedded.

Usually, vision sensors are used to realize all those applications in a series for which their functionality is sufficient. But most of the time, they are only parametrizable. Bad luck if the available functionality cannot be adapted to fit the required task. IMAGO opens up new possibilities with its freely programmable VisionSensor. The VisionSensor PV rounds off the product lines VisionCam and VisionBox in the direction of OEM. Depending on the approach, the size- and cost-optimized hardware is either a programmable vision sensor, or an embedded Linux computer on the basis of an ARM Cortex-A9 with connected camera, even for the usage apart from “classical” image processing. It brings a lot of the VisionCam features to an interesting serial price level.
