Hamamatsu is a manufacturer of high-resolution, high dynamic range digital cameras and related systems for industrial machine vision applications. Standard features include x-ray, UV, VIS and/or IR sensitivity, low light capability, fast frame rate and real-time image processing.
Hamamatsu’s high-performance X-ray line scan cameras feature high sensitivity and high resolution for non-contact, non-destructive inspection. Standard X-ray line cameras have a wide inspection area for large objects, and a thin sensor head for installation inside a conveyor. A high line speed of up to 800 m/min is possible, and they boast a 12-bit digital-signal output for means data processing and computer analysis. The X-ray line scan camera lineup also includes several models that feature TDI technology. TDI captures an image of a moving object while transferring integrated signal charges synchronously with the object movement for high sensitivity. Features include high SNR with 12-bit/16-bit output, Camera Link interface, real-time dark current/shading correction, and frame readout mode for easy installation alignment. The lineup also boasts a TDI camera with staggered, overlapping sensors that provide a wide detection width without dead areas (C10650-461). Specialty X-ray line scan cameras include C-shape cameras for tire inspection, and dual-energy models (C10800 Series) that acquire a high energy image and low energy image in a single scan to better recognize different types of materials in a wide range of applications.
