Hamamatsu is a manufacturer of high-resolution, high dynamic range digital cameras and related systems for industrial machine vision applications. Standard features include x-ray, UV, VIS and/or IR sensitivity, low light capability, fast frame rate and real-time image processing.
Hamamatsu’s TDI (time delay integration) cameras are used in applications that record a linear process over time, or where the aspect ratio of the subject being imaged is significantly asymmetric. TDI captures an image of a moving object while transferring integrated signal charges synchronously as the object moves to achieve high sensitivity, which is particularly suitable for low light level scanning applications. Each camera combines high-speed imaging, high resolution, and low noise. Their back-thinned CCD technology ensures quantum efficiency (QE) over a wide spectral range from UV to near IR region. Additional features include line rates up to 50 kHz, dynamic range of 1600:1, a 12-bit/8-bit selectable A/D converter, bidirectional scanning operation, and a frame readout mode for easy focusing. A PC board module-type camera is also available (C1000-A01). Applications include electronics manufacturing and semiconductor inspection, and high-speed scanning for large-size samples (such as, flat panel displays).
