Hamamatsu Corporation Product
Hamamatsu TDI-CCD image sensors capture clear and bright images even in low-light conditions. During TDI (time delay integration) mode, the CCD captures an image of a fast-moving or rotating object while transferring integrated signal charges synchronously with the object’s movement to dramatically boost sensitivity to high levels. Our new TDI-CCDs allow light to enter from the rear of the silicon substrate, separate from gate electrodes in front which inhibit quantum efficiency in the visible region. This back-thinned arrangement ensures higher sensitivity over a wide spectral range from UV to near IR region (200 to 1100 nm). TDI-CCD technology is desirable for line scan cameras for industrial robots, electronic parts production lines, and semiconductor inspection.
