ARBOR Technology Unveils Compact Industrial PC with Unexpected Capabilities: IEC-3702
POSTED 09/11/2024
Challenges of NUC-Size Computers in Industrial Automation
Due to their compact size, NUC-size computers often have trouble dissipating heat, especially under heavy loads and after long periods of running. They may also be unable to support complex setups requiring extensive I/O ports or specialized industrial interfaces because of their limited expandability. In addition, these computers might not last long in harsh industrial environments. Last but not least, power stability in industrial settings may be a problem, requiring additional power regulators or filters to provide reliable power.
Advantages of the New Industrial PC Design
Featuring a robust metal enclosure, the new industrial PC provides superior protection and efficient cooling. Its wide voltage input ensures compatibility with various power sources, while the integrated RS232 serial port enables seamless integration into existing industrial setups and remote control capabilities.
