ECM CEO Brian Casey to Speak at Automate 2024 on Award Winning PrintStator Motor CAD

POSTED 04/25/2024

Casey will illustrate the benefits to automated industries of ECM’s PrintStator electric motor design software that won the 2024 Automate Innovation Awards.

Needham, Mass – Brian Casey -- the CEO and President of US electric motor design and software company ECM PCB Stator Tech -- will speak on Automate’s 2024 Innovation Stage at Chicago’s McCormack Place Convention Center Monday, May 7, at 10:30am.

In his presentation titled “Using PrintStator CAD To Optimize PCB Stator Electric Motors for Automation,” Casey will highlight the benefits of ECM’s software and patented printed circuit board motor technology for verticals including robotics, consumer electronics, and manufacturing.

“Advancing 21st century automation will require a nextgen upgrade to electric motor design. PrintStator puts that capability at the fingertips of any innovator, from big company engineer to disruptive startup founder,” said ECM CEO Brian Casey.

Mr. Casey’s talk follows ECM being announced a winner in the 2024 Automate Innovation Award’s Software category for PrintStator.

Motor as Software

As a company, ECM pairs PrintStator to PCB Stator innovation to create next generation electric machines that are smaller, quieter, and more energy and space efficient. In January 2024, ECM launched PrintStator as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) product at CES.

The innovation tool fundamentally transforms the way electric motors are designed and manufactured. From PrintStator’s cloud-based interface, users can dial-in precise performance and dimensional specs to create optimized motor solutions for multiple verticals: Robotics, Consumer Electronics, HVAC, E-Mobility, Medical, Aerospace, and more.

ECM’s PrintStator is also an advanced design-to-manufacture soluation. As a SaaS offering, the Motor CAD platform allows companies with manufacturing capacity to advance designs immediately to production. PrintStator users without manufacturing capability can leverage ECM’s preferred network in the global printed-circuit board industry to enable rapid production of optimized electric motors.

Team ECM at Automate

In addition to Mr. Casey’s Monday, May 7 presentation, Automate 2024 attendees can connect with ECM via the following:

  • May 6 – 9 (Booth #3476) – Team ECM will host an exhibit throughout the show, where you can demo PrintStator and preview PCB Stator electric motor designs.

  • May 6, 4pm (Booth 3641) -- ECM will accept its 2024 Automate Innovation Awards trophy for PrintStator at the Automate Show Theater awards ceremony.

  • May 8, 10:15am, (Room S401d) -- ECM EVP Rob Luchars will deliver a presentation, “How Electric Motor Design Innovation Will Advance Automation” and welcome audience Q&A.
