Challenge
One of our clients needed a fast, precise, and fully automated system to measure polymer parts during production. The solution had to verify groove placement, evaluate quality, and read data matrix (DM) codes while keeping up with high-speed production cycles.
Solution
A 6-axis robot positions polymer parts for scanning by a high-precision 3D laser system. The robot presents three components per second to the scanner, which records their 3D geometry and measures recesses at multiple positions to verify groove placement and reads DM codes.
