On the Agenda: 2025 Humanoid Robot Forum Highlights
Join the next wave of automation at the second annual Humanoid Robot Forum.
Robots in human form aren’t just a thing of the future. They’re here now, offering the potential to transform operations, solve workforce challenges, and drive real-world results. Come witness these industrial innovations first hand at the second annual Humanoid Robot Forum on September 23 in Seattle. Hosted by the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) and sponsored by fictiv, you’ll join industry leaders, engineers, and top automation experts for educational sessions focusing on cutting-edge automation technology and advanced robotics. While there, you’ll gain actionable insights from those pioneering in the field, learn from real-world case studies, and network with decision-makers and innovators.
What to Expect
The event lineup is full of impactful sessions from the leaders in humanoids, AI, robotic research, robot safety, and more. Here’s what’s in store.
Humanoids in Healthcare
The need for assistance in healthcare is critical and the possibilities of what humanoids can offer are growing with each advancement in technology. During the forum, you’ll hear different perspectives and exciting innovations from around the industry.
Andrea Thomaz, CEO and co-founder of Diligent will kick off the event sharing hard-won lessons from deploying Moxi, the only humanoid robot operating at scale in healthcare today. She’ll delve into what it really takes to make physical AI useful, safe, and embraced by humans.
Later in the day, Aadeel Akhtar, CEO and founder of PSYONIC will talk about how his company’s advancements in human prosthetics with their bionic hand has directly influenced how robots manipulate objects in unstructured environments.
Lastly, Michael Yip, professor at UC San Diego and director of their Advanced Robotics and Controls Laboratory, will present a first look at humanoids performing procedures ranging from physical exams to trauma surgery. He’ll share crucial lessons along the way and give insight into the opportunities and challenges ahead.
Lessons in Warehouse Logistics
Humanoids — like Agility Robotics’ Digit — are now working alongside humans in warehouse settings, and the industry at large is eager to scale deployment to meet customer needs. During the event, you'll hear what the Agility team has learned from deployment, AI’s role in humanoid robotics, and what’s next for the industry.

What’s at Stake in This Pivotal Moment
Are humanoids the next space race? Experts think so, and yet, with China’s $138 billion fund for pioneering robotics and machine learn R&D, the United States risks falling behind without coordinated action. Jeff Cardenes , co-founder and CEO of Apptronic, and Brian Heater, managing editor of A3, sit down to explore the bold, strategic investment needed to solidify America’s leadership and competitive edge in this space.
As the industry grows and develops, the conversation around power systems will play a deciding role in how universally utilized the humanoid will become. Ben Waters, co-founder and CEO of WiBotic Inc., will lay out the challenges and limitations of the current battery and traditional plug-in stations while exploring the high-impact energy strategies that will define the next decade of humanoid robotics.
And there’s even more! Don’t miss Brian Heater’s discussion with Brad Porter, founder and CEO of Cobot, around the future of the humanoid form factor itself and how to align these systems to work alongside other general purpose robot form factors. Then, Amit Goel, head of robotics ecosystem at NVIDIA Corporation will walk us through the breakthroughs in generative AI, large-scale simulation, and real-time edge computing, sharing how they’ll work in tandem to advance humanoid robot development.
Beyond the sessions, there will be ample time to network with other attendees and explore the exhibits. View the full agenda for a detailed look.
