USB3 Vision Standard Committee

The committee is made up of camera, software, cable and IP companies who are working towards a specification release in 2012. Currently participating in the technical committee are:  A&B Software, Allied Vision Technologies, Alysium-Tech, Basler, Baumer Optronic, Cognex Corporation, Components Express, Cypress Semiconductor, Hamamatsu Corporation, Icron Technologies, Intercon 1, JAI, The MathWorks, Matrix Vision, Matrox Imaging, MVTec Software, National Instruments, Newnex Technology Corp., Pleora Technologies, Point Grey Research, Stemmer Imaging, Teledyne DALSA, Toshiba Teli and XIMEA.

Bob McCurrach is A3’s Director of Standard Development and he supports and oversees the committee work. Camera Link Committee Membership is open to interested companies who are members of the AIA, EMVA, JIIA, VDMA, or CMVU. The Camera Link Committee is currently chaired by Steve Kinney, Director of Technical Pre-Sales & Support at JAI, and Reynold Dodson, President at BitFlow, Inc.

USB3 Vision User Group

The USB3 Vision User Group is a group of people who have active interests in the work of the Technical Committees. User group meetings will be held at major vision shows and be open to the public at large as well. The user group will have an electronic collaboration mechanism that will be monitored by the technical committees. The User Group will:

  • Attend user group meetings as appropriate;
  • Provide requests to the Technical Committee for consideration

The USB3 Vision User Group is open to companies who have a direct and material interest in the standard. You must be an AIA, EMVA, JIIA, VDMA, or CMVU member in good standing to participate. USB3 Vision Technical Committee

The USB3 Vision Technical Committee is open to companies who have a direct and material interest in the standard. You must be an AIA, EMVA, JIIA, VDMA, or CMVU member in good standing to participate. There is a $100 USD annual committee fee and you must contribute at least 80 hours per year to work assignments.
