PROC_CamSim™ is a flexible high-performance camera simulator that generates Cameral Link video stream and test patterns for a frame grabber.

The PROC_CamSim is comprised of the following:

  • Application software: An intuitive GUI enabling to send image/video data to the PROC_CamSim hardware core, to configure the Camera Link, to define timing parameters, and to monitor the simulation.
  • PROC Board: A PCI/PCIe FPGA board incorporating a GiDEL PROC_CamSim IP core for image and data processing. The processed data is sent to the target system (e.g. a frame-grabber) via GiDEL 's daughter boards. The PROC board is capable of sending patterns and video stream at full Camera Link speed.
  • PSDB_CL_OUT™: A GiDEL daughterboard enabling Full Mode Camera Link interface between the PROC Board simulation data and the user's system.
  • PSDB_IO™: An optional GiDEL daughter board for extending simulation I/O interface to target system controls, encoders,analog gain control, etc.
  • PROC Developer Kit™: Enables the user to create customized simulation via addition of user logic to the HW design and / or to the SW application. The Developer’s kit includes the PROCWizard development software, the PROC API library and the CamSim API library.
