IMPERX announces TRUE DAY/NIGHT EMCCD camera at SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing 2017 in Anaheim, CA
POSTED 04/07/2017
Boca Raton, FL - IMPERX is excited to be announcing their new PUMA EMCCD Camera at the SPIE Defense + Commercial Sensing show (SPIE DCS), which runs from April 11-13, 2017 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA. Based upon the latest in OnSemi’s development of XCCD (Extreme CCD) Technology, this camera combines both EMCCD technology and CCD technology in the same sensor. This sensor technology provides a color image in ¼ moon sensitivity, 1 e- noise and 20,000 electron well capacity, yielding greater than 86 bits of dynamic range. The camera is low noise, has no horizontal blooming, and will be available in 2.1 Megapixels and 8.1 Megapixels.
In addition to the incredible sensor performance, the camera has many image enhancement, pre-processing features with programmable and automatic settings. Like all of Imperx designs, the Puma series features MIL SPEC 810F capabilities with -40C to +85C temperature range and >1500g/100g shock/vibration specs.
Visitors are invited to view a live demonstration of the 2 MP HD PUMA P1940 camera at the Imperx booth. Imperx will also be introducing the ultra-high resolution Tiger T8820 CCD camera and Cheetah CMOS cameras using Sony Pregius image sensors at the show.
