BitFlow Announces Successful Robots & Vision Show

JUNE 10, 2003 --Celebrating its 10th Anniversary, BitFlow recently exhibited at the 2003 Robots & Vision Show. The week kicked off with our 2003 Domestic Sales Meeting and 20 of our Domestic Channel Partners and was followed by the R&V exhibition.
In our booth, we featured our new R64-CL Camera Link interface board and BitFlow's new image analysis and processing software, imageWarp. Using these products, BitFlow demonstrated seamless interfacing to 7 different Camera Link cameras across 4 R64-CL boards and two computers. Below is an overview of the equipment we used:
Demo Area # 1
Cameras: TVI Vision Colibri color line scan, Dalsa P2-4x-8192 monochrome line scan, Basler A301 Bayer area camera.
Boards: Two R64-PCI-CL-F / List $1,500
R64 64-bit/66MHz PCI Camera Link camera interface supporting a single Base, Medium or Full Camera Link camera.
Software: imageWarp / List TBD (under $2,500) / Release date TBD (early July) imageWarp is a full-featured image analysis software package that includes a seamless driver interface to the entire BitFlow product line. In this demonstration, imageWarp acquired live video from the Basler camera at 80fps, performed the color interpolation, ran an object classification script, demonstrated a line profile tool, displayed live color video and raw data and previewed several filter options all in real-time! On average imageWarp outperforms other leading packages more than 3 to 1 for a fraction of the cost.

BitFlow SDK's Circ / part of our own Software Development Kit, Circ is a highly optimized circular buffer management application that supports the entire BitFlow product line and is commonly used to support the development of OEM machine vision applications using the provided source code.
Traffic was fairly steady for the first two days of the show with the emphasis clearly being quality vs. quantity as a lot of visitors had legitimate problems to solve.
