Airy3D Announces Support for MediaTek Genio SoCs for Edge 3D Vision Applications
Montreal, Canada – May 11, 2026 – Airy3D today announced that its DepthIQ™ SDK is supported on the MediaTek Genio Series of System-on-Chips, enabling compact and cost-efficient passive 3D vision solutions for embedded AI vision applications across robotics, industrial, retail, and smart devices.
Airy3D’s DepthIQ technology enables simultaneous capture of high-quality 2D images and depth maps using a single sensor. The solution is particularly well suited for edge applications requiring compact size, low power consumption, wide field-of-view support, and robust operation in challenging lighting conditions.
By leveraging the high-performance and power-efficient AI processing capabilities of the MediaTek Genio platform, Airy3D delivers efficient embedded depth sensing optimized for next-generation edge devices. The combination of Airy3D’s compact single-sensor architecture and MediaTek’s scalable edge AI platform enables applications such as smart checkout and payment systems, access control, people counting, and other space-constrained AI vision deployments requiring real-time 3D perception.
“Integrating Airy3D’s innovative passive 3D sensing technology into our ecosystem enables our partners to deliver sophisticated spatial awareness with unparalleled efficiency,” said Sameer Sharma, AVP, IoT at MediaTek. “This collaboration will help our customers push the boundaries of what is possible in robotics and smart infrastructure.”
“We are glad to collaborate with MediaTek to demonstrate the capabilities of our passive 3D sensing technology on their embedded AI platforms,” said Jean-Sebastien Landry, Senior Director of Product and Strategic Partnerships at Airy3D. “The combination of Airy3D’s single-sensor 3D technology and the Genio platform provides an efficient and compact solution for bringing real-time depth sensing to edge AI devices.”
Airy3D is showcasing an industrial-grade imaging solution combining the MediaTek Genio510 platform running Airy3D’s DepthIQ SDK at the Embedded Vision Summit 2026 in Santa Clara, California.
