EyeVision now also supports the RealSense 3D sensor by Intel. The EyeVision 3D special command set allows the Intel sensor to capture and evaluate point cloud images. Also the user can work with gray scale images as well. This means EyeVision can deliver 3D evaluation in point clouds as well as grey scale images.

EVT EyeVision supports Intel RealSense 3D SensorFor example height measurements can be done by capturing an point cloud and and only five commands of the EyeVision software. The commands are displayed in the graphical user interface as icons and those are woven into an inspection program by the drag-and-drop function. This also means that there are no programming skills necessary. The Intel RealSense has a resolution of 640 x 480 pixel and 60 fps available. And is connected with a USB 3.0 interface.

Other supported 3D sensors are e.g. sensors from Automation Technology, VR magic, Vision Components, MEL, etc. Applications for the Intel 3D sensor in combination with the EyeVision software are e.g. hight measurements in industries such as automotive, robot-vision, food and beverage industries as well as medical industry.

With the EyeVision software applications such as pattern matching, object counting, measurement technology, code reading, etc. The EyeVision software supports cameras and 3D sensors with the interfaces: GigE, USB, RS232, CameraLink, CoaXPress and FireWire.
