Socket bin pick and place with a UR5 cobot—see how vision works with a changing placement location!

Apera AI collaborated with @UniversalRobots on this challenging demonstration of AI-powered vision technology. Shiny parts normally pose a problem to vision systems, but this system is capable of dealing with multiple randomly ordered socket sizes and orienting them into their packaging. We can even move the placement tray and the robot still manages to find it with the vision intelligence provided by Vue software.
