How to use Hexapods in Multi-Axis Precision Automation Applications - by www.pi.ws
POSTED 06/06/2019
Hexapod multi-axis positioning systems provide extreme flexibility, not unlike the human hand, including 6-degrees of freedom, randomized center of rotation (pivot point), very high stiffness and a compact work envelope. The video shows the prototype of a novel labelling machine designed by PI in cooperation with Tirelli, an Italian machine manufacturer. The hexapod allows quick and precise adaptation of the bottle labeling system to any geometry.
