Consideration and Requirements for 3D Inline Metrology Implementation ZScan 3D Scanning

  1. Space Requirements: Installing the 3D measurement system may necessitate structural alterations and additional space.

  2. Calibration & Accuracy: Ensuring repeatable and automatic calibration is vital for precise measurements.

  3. Interfaces: Seamless integration into existing production systems demands suitable control interfaces.

  4. Measurement Programs: Deriving the measurement strategy from tactile comparisons is crucial for achieving consistent results.

  5. Environmental Conditions: The system must demonstrate robustness to function effectively in challenging production environments characterized by vibrations and temperature variations.

  6. Personnel Qualification: Staff members must undergo specialized training to proficiently operate the 3D measuring system.

Calibration

Calibration is Essential... it forms the cornerstone of dependable measurements.

Thanks to our meticulously developed calibration methods, which involve sphere targets positioned on carbon plates, sensors with flexible spatial arrangements can undergo         calibration, and scan data from multiple scanners can be seamlessly integrated spatially. This approach is universally applicable across laser scanners arranged in varying spatial   configurations. We prioritize the ease and effectiveness of inserting our calibration targets for monitoring or recalibration, even during ongoing production processes. Our calibration   procedures typically operate fully automatically, ensuring consistently stable values even amidst fluctuating environmental conditions.

We provide corresponding measurement records from certified measurement service providers for each calibration target. Upon request, we can arrange for calibration standards to be   measured by DAKKS-certified institutes to best fulfill the quality assurance requirements of our customers.

Execution of Measurement System Analyses MSA Measurement System Analysis

Validates the Accuracy of a Measurement System

Choosing the suitable MSA standard relies on the industry and specific needs. Often, multiple standards are amalgamated to conduct MSA tailored to individual requirements. Accurate application of these standards is paramount to guarantee precise and dependable measurements, ultimately enhancing product and process quality.

We collaborate with you to conduct MSAs (measuring system analyses) for validating our optical measuring systems. Additionally,

if needed, we can supply corresponding calculation tools.
