Vertical Roll Palletizing
A FANUC M410iB/140 palletizing robot is used in this robot work cell to palletize rolls of roofing material in a vertical orientation. Rolls arrive at the palletizing operation with eye horizontal, and are shaped and then upended for presentation to the robot. The robot's dual mandrel gripper picks up two rolls at a time and adjusts their position to fit the palletizing pattern. A vision system ensures the labels are optimally oriented to enhance point of purchase product display.
