Bots in the News:
Halloween presented the holders of big-cap, high tech shares with significant ‘treats’ of strong performances last week. While there were no double-digit positive performers within the Bot Index, there were numerous plus-five percentage movers. Amazon was the leading gainer with its 8.91% increase. Also, in the 8+% club were NIVIDA Corp. (+8.72%), Palantir Corp. (+8.59%) and Google (+8.18%).
The flying car company Joby Aviation rose 7.50% and Tesla increased 5.27%.
Two companies – Cognex and Zebra Technologies were the only two shares that experienced double-digit declines. Cognex fell 14.40% as the third quarter’s earnings report included management concerns of future guidance. Likewise, a similar trepidation was issued by Zebra’s management that resulted in a 12.81% slide.
Yaskawa Electric declined 7.57%. The company has been faltering with its shareholders recognizing a 27.86% five-year disappointment.
