SGInnovate backs Botsync in extended Series A amid AMR market surge

Botsync, a Singapore-based industrial robotics company, has secured additional capital from SGInnovate as part of an extended Series A round, adding fresh momentum to a business riding the sharp rise of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) across Asia’s factories and warehouses.

The funding, whose size was not disclosed, comes at a time when demand for flexible, scalable automation is accelerating across fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food and beverage, and automotive supply chains.

From pilots to production-scale deployments

Operationally, the company is growing at a pace that reflects the broader shift towards robotics-led efficiency. In 2025, Botsync claims it recorded 240 per cent growth in production trips, surpassing one million live production trips in real-world environments. Revenue grew 230 per cent year on year, primarily driven by expansions from existing customers rather than new logos — a signal that deployments are moving from pilots to full-scale rollouts.

Botsync’s robots and orchestration software are already live at industrial sites operated by global manufacturers, including Ford, Caterpillar, Kimberly-Clark, Coca-Cola, Aquaporin, and Nestlé. These deployments span warehouses and factories where labour shortages, rising costs and tighter service-level expectations are forcing operators to rethink manual processes. In several cases, customers have reported cost reductions of up to 30 per cent following automation.

Riding Southeast Asia’s AMR surge amid intensifying competition

Botsync’s growth is unfolding against a rapidly expanding AMR market in Asia-Pacific. The region’s AMR segment is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of approximately 20.09 per cent through 2032, driven by e-commerce expansion, labour shortages, Industry 4.0 programmes, and manufacturing modernisation across markets such as Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia. The Asia-Pacific AMR market has reached roughly US$480 million, while Southeast Asia’s broader industrial robotics market is estimated to hit US$624 million in 2025.
