Futura Automation Names Representative Firm for Oregon and Idaho

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - Futura Automation LLC, an American consulting and marketing company for robotics, advanced automation and “Industry 4.0” implementation is pleased to announce OES Automation of Eugene, Oregon as its Representative for general industry in Oregon and Idaho and for the wood products industry throughout North America.
The OES Automation team members are:
Devin Powell - CEO: B.S. from Oregon State University and a Masters in Engineering from the University of Colorado with a focus in Product Development and Lean and Agile Management. Journeyman Electrical License. He was the Engineering Manager for Ventek/USNR for 13 years focusing on automation and vision systems for the wood products industry. Before that he was an engineer at McDiarmid Controls (Eugene, OR) for 9 years working on automation projects for various industries including agriculture, mining, chemicals, and packaging.
John Koza - CTO: B.S. Computer Science Eastern Oregon University. Journeyman Electrical License. Vision systems programmer for Ventek/USNR for 8 years. Automation Engineer for The Automation Group (Eugene, OR) for one year preceded by McDiarmid Controls for 5 years where he developed automation solutions for a variety of industries.
Jeff Brooks – Engineer: Millwright and Journeyman Electrical License. Owner of Oregon Electric Service for 10 years. Electrician/Engineer at McDiarmid Controls for 15 years where he was responsible for electrical installations and all mechanical designs for a variety of control and scanning systems. 15 years at veneer and plywood plants in Eugene area from operator to Journeyman Millwright.
Kurt Kovacs - Software Engineer: B.S. Engineering; Electrical and Computer Engineering; University of Michigan. Master of Science, Engineering; Computer, Information, and Control Engineering University of Michigan. Worked in developing and implementing computer based industrial controls since 1980, involving both motion and process control.
Quinton Powell - Software Engineer: Studied Electrical Engineering at Oregon State University. Millwright and Plant Supervisor Electrical License. Software Engineer and Moisture Meter Product Manager for Ventek/USNR for 20 years. Controls Division Manager for Premier Gear and Machine for 3 years. Partner in Industrial Control Services for 3 years. 27 years at a Veneer mill in Springfield Oregon. From production to Journeyman Millwright to Chief Electrician to General Manager.
OES Automation will be responsible for the Futura Automation product lines represented in Oregon and Idaho, plus all the wood products companies in North America: Air Turbine Tools, Applied Robotics, Carter Enterprises, Flexomation, Joulin, QC Conveyors, Robot System Products, Rohm Products, Sicron, Technology Brewing, Toshiba Machine (TM) Robotics, Visumatic and Weintek. Futura Automation is also partnered with Vanguard Automation for End of Line Packaging and Lumber Press Strapping systems and Manufacturing Asset Solutions (MAS) for their software services: CMMS and ToolTrax.
Weintek offers the capability to monitor machine controllers, including semiconductor and pharmaceutical tools, and translate existing data into predictive maintenance algorithms or PdM notifications alongside or through the CMMS systems. It is also a useful tool to aggregate process data for FDA validation requirements.
