Introducing KINGSTAR 2.5: Motion Control & Machine Vision Made Better
KINGSTAR is excited to announce that KINGSTAR 2.5, the latest release of the KINGSTAR Soft Motion Platform, is now available.
KINGSTAR 2.5 builds upon its original foundation, literally and figuratively. The KINGSTAR Soft Motion Platform operates on IntervalZero RTX64, our parent company’s flagship product and the DNA that makes KINGSTAR’s cutting-edge capabilities possible. The RTX64 infrastructure adds efficiency, agility, and enhanced productivity by replacing FPGAs and DSPs and transforming Windows into a real-time operating system (RTOS). This allows you to scale up to 64 core systems for dedicated real-time application processing, and deliver determinism and real-time performance without altering or modifying Windows.
We’ve also built on the original KINGSTAR foundation. Release 2.5 adds more pre-integrated and pre-existing motion control components from the best motor and device manufacturers that you use or want to use. The KINGSTAR 2.5 Soft Motion Platform also gives you the ability to “plug and play” any of the IO and device components that you desire, and your EtherCAT network will be automatically configured. You have the ability to use your own customizable motion control algorithms based on an EtherCAT network as well. Last but not least, we have incorporated software PLC powered by ISaGRAF to give you full automated control of assembly and machinery management and deployment, along with machine vision powered by Matrox for image capture and processing applications.
