Grav Enhanced

Flexiv’s Grav Enhanced Gripper features a cutting-edge dual grasping system that delivers both versatility and precision. Through combining force-controlled two-finger pinching for delicate, accurate handling with gecko-inspired superfriction gripping for larger or irregular objects, it delivers a truly adaptive handling solution.

From manipulating tiny objects like M1 bolts and coins using parallel pinching, to handling large spherical items like magnums of champagne and soccer balls with its superfriction grip, the Grav Enhanced is truly multirole capable. Able to manipulate almost any item under 11 lbs (5 kg) that fits within its grasp, and with an optional cleaning station, object handling has never been easier.

Ideal for mixed-SKU loading, randomized pick-and-place tasks, and unclassified sorting, the Grav Enhanced eliminates the need for end-of-arm tool changes. Its integrated force-sensing capability ensures delicate handling, minimizing the risk of damaging sensitive workpieces.

With no need for external energy inputs or power-hungry vacuum pumps, and fully plug-and-play with Flexiv adaptive robots, the Grav Enhanced is simple to deploy, uniquely capable, and perfectly suited for a broad range of handling applications.

In gecko grasping mode:

1. The Grav Enhanced uses Flexiv's unique gecko-inspired superfriction film to achieve a solid grip while applying a minimal squeezing force.
2. This enables the Grav Enhanced to handle delicate items like a water balloon without causing it to rupture,  and lift up to 5 kg (11 lbs) in weight without utilising a traditional gripping force.

Gecko-inspired superfriction is entirely passive:

1. No need for additional energy inputs or power-hungry vacuum pumps.
2. The Grav Enhanced is ideal for mobile platform integration or flexible production lines.
