"The VisionLink XF fiber extender adapts Camera Link (base through 80-bit mode) for remote operation over fiber-optic cabling. This extender improves on the previous full-mode solution by supporting up to 85 MHz via two extenders and one dual-fiber cable. "Like all EDT fiber extenders, the VisionLink XF provides the following benefits:
- Transfers real-time image data to a host computer over distances of tens to thousands of meters.
- Provides triggering / serial via Camera Link or externally via an optional Lemo connector.
- Provides electrical isolation of the camera from the host computer.
- Can be used with EDT or third-party frame grabbers.
