Carmel, Indiana - Rain Engineering announced that it will bring its practical, results-focused message on AI in manufacturing to Automate 2026 in Chicago, where the company will demonstrate how connected systems improve visibility and plant performance.

As manufacturers continue sorting through the noise around artificial intelligence, Rain Engineering is focusing the conversation on operational value. The company’s message for Automate 2026 centers on using connected systems and usable plant floor data to help manufacturers solve real production challenges rather than chase technology for its own sake.

At the event, Rain Engineering will highlight how manufacturers can connect machines and robots through Kepware, contextualize operations with Proficy MES, historian, scheduling, and analytics, and extend action through workflows and industrial applications. This practical approach reflects Rain Engineering’s broader focus on helping manufacturers build systems that operators, engineers, and plant leadership teams can actually use every day.

Speaking on the company’s participation, CEO Don Rahrig said, “Manufacturers do not need more hype. They need connected systems, usable data, and guidance that helps technology deliver measurable outcomes on the plant floor.”

Rain Engineering’s presence at Automate 2026 will also support a local charitable cause. The company is exploring an attendance-based donation tied to booth engagement, with support intended for Pals for Paws, a Kokomo, Indiana dog rescue organization that helps homeless, abandoned, and abused pets through foster care and adoption efforts.

This charitable connection gives Rain Engineering’s Automate presence an added dimension while reinforcing the company’s belief that visibility and action should create impact beyond the plant floor.

Automate 2026 will take place June 22-25, 2026, in Chicago at McCormick Place, bringing together automation and manufacturing leaders focused on robotics, AI, motion control, machine vision, and smart manufacturing solutions. That setting gives Rain Engineering a strong venue to show how connected operations, guided implementation, and practical digital transformation can work in real production environments.

Additional details on the donation campaign, booth activities, and event schedule are expected to be shared through Rain Engineering channels ahead of the show.

Rain Corporation is headquartered in Carmel, Indiana.
