Laser Beam Control - Fast 2D Laser Beam Steering Mirror Mounts
POSTED 02/01/2022
Laser beam control is achieved with highly dynamic 2-axis laser beams steering platforms based on solid-state or voice-coil linear motors, operated in differential mode.
The video shows fast steering mirrors based on different drive technologies - piezoelectrics and voice coils. Both types shown here use friction-free, maintenance-free flexures as precision guiding systems and differential drives at orthogonal orientations. The single pivot point eliminates polarization rotation as with two stage designs. More information on precision motorized kinematic mirror mounts.
