Shaun Edwards Biography
Shaun Edwards is a Senior Research Engineer in the Robotics and Automation Engineering Section (RAES) at Southwest Research Institute (SwRI®).
In his six years at SwRI he has worked on a wide variety of industrial robotics and automation programs. His past projects include the design and programming of several distributed control systems and robotic workcells.
Recently, Mr. Edwards has served as the principal investigator for an internal research project focused on the use of the open source Robot Operating System (ROS) in industrial robot applications.
Prior to his employment at SwRI, Shaun worked for a small business performing mechanical design and writing embedded software. He graduated with and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
