In 2008, the Colleges of Computing and Engineering at Georgia Tech created the nation’s first truly interdisciplinary doctoral degree in robotics. The program was developed through Georgia Tech’s Center for Robotics and Intelligent Machines. Degree programs at their School of Computational Science & Engineering strive to create a new type of scholar who is well versed in synthesizing principles from mathematics, science, engineering and computing to create innovative computational models and apply them to solve important real-world problems.
