OnLogic Launches “Edge AI Excellence Awards” to Celebrate Real-World Industrial AI Innovation
Burlington, VT (July 23, 2026) — At the June 2026 Automate Show in Chicago, global industrial computer leader OnLogic (www.onlogic.com) announced the launch of the OnLogic + Intel Edge AI Excellence Awards. The awards are designed with measurable business outcomes in mind, recognizing those who are moving past the theoretical and bringing throughput improvements and tangible innovations in physical AI to life.
The judges of the awards are looking for innovators, system integrators, original equipment manufacturers, and end users who have successfully deployed edge AI applications built using Intel-powered hardware from OnLogic.
"AI has dominated conversations recently, but the real magic happens when theory meets the rugged reality of the factory floor," said Jonathan Wood, VP Americas and Global Partnerships at OnLogic. "The Edge AI Excellence Awards are about moving past the hype and spotlighting the innovators, builders, and integrators who are using advanced technology to solve complex physical challenges. In partnership with Intel, we want to celebrate those driving measurable business outcomes, increased throughput, and true operational transformation at the edge."
The awards application portal is open now, with winners to be announced and celebrated at a ceremony during the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS) in Chicago, September 14-19, 2026.
Award Categories
The awards will recognize excellence across three distinct categories:
-
The Physical AI Product of the Year: Awarded to an OEM or Machine Builder integrating edge AI directly into their hardware products.

-
The Industrial AI Impact Award: Awarded to an End User demonstrating substantial operational or financial business return from an edge AI deployment.
-
The Edge AI Integration Award: Awarded to a Systems Integrator who has successfully architected and deployed advanced edge AI computing solutions.
First Ever Edge Ambassador Award Presented
To kick off the program, OnLogic used their recent awards launch event at MxD in Chicago to present its first standalone OnLogic Edge Ambassador Award. This individual honor recognizes a prominent industry influencer who has driven market adoption and extended the reach of advanced technologies across the edge ecosystem.
The inaugural award was presented to Channa Samynathan, Senior Solutions Engineer at Exein (www.exein.io). Globally leading innovation in physical AI and robotics while managing technical partnerships across the Americas, Samynathan was recognized for his track record, including his time co-building edge integrations at AWS, of bridging the gap between cutting edge embedded security and real world industrial automation deployment.
