The Vision Show and Conference East Returns to Boston, May 9-11, 2006

Ann Arbor, MI -- The Vision Show, North America’s largest machine vision event, will return to the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, May 9-11, 2006. 

Alternating between the East and West coast, The Vision Show offers a look at the latest machine vision products from some 100 leading suppliers from throughout the world.   Machine vision is used for tasks such as inspection, traceability, and process control in industries such as automotive, consumer goods, electronics, food & beverage, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors and security.

The accompanying conference, which begins on Monday, May 8,  features in-depth tutorials and sessions on topics such as the fundamentals of machine vision, lighting & optics, how to select machine vision components, 3-D vision solutions, the latest advances in smart cameras and sensors, non-visible imaging, machine vision software, and integrating machine vision systems.

 More than 2,000 engineering and manufacturing leaders from throughout the world are expected to participate in The Vision Show East, which was last held in Boston in May 2004.

Burnstein noted that the Nanotech 2006 event, sponsored by NSTI (Nano Science and Technology Institute) will take place at the Hynes Convention Center during The Vision Show East, creating powerful synergies for attendees.  ‘‘This will be a great opportunity for nanotechnology companies to find the latest machine vision products and for vision suppliers to meet new potential customers in the emerging nanotechnology field.’‘
