The Vision East Show in 2001 is Nearly Sold-Out
Companies Racing to Sign-Up for AIA's Return to Boston
Ann Arbor, Michigan - Energized by the success of the first Vision East event in Boston in the Spring of 2000, leading machine vijsion companies are quickly snapping up exhibit space at the next Vision East show slated for October 30-November 1, 2001.
'Even though the show is a year away, we've already sold nearly 80% of the available exhibit space,' said Jeffrey A. Burnstein, Executive Director of the Automated Imaging Association, the industry trade group that sponsors The Vision Show East.
'Some 70 companies already have reserved about 14,000 square feet of exhibit space, which is more space than our entire April 2000 show in Boston occupied,' Burnstein noted. 'This is especially impressive when you consider that we've only been selling exhibit space for just four weeks.'
Burnstein said that AIA is committed to making the 2001 event its best Vision Show ever. 'We plan to offer the largest, most solutions-oriented conference we've ever held. in order to attract users and potential users of machine vision to the event. Plus, we expect to have all of the industry leaders represented on the show floor. Our marketing campaign will focus on reaching attendees from throughout North America and Europe, making Vision East a truly international event.'
Launched in 1996, The Vision Show has quickly become the world's leading annual machine vision event. It has traditionally been held in the Fall in either San Jose or Santa Clara. The successful April 2000 event in Boston convinced the AIA Board of Directors to have the show alternate between the East and West Coast, with a return West anticipated in 2002.
Founded in 1984, AIA is the only trade group in North America focused exclusively on promoting the use of machine vision technology. In addition to The Vision Show, AIA's best-known activities include Machine Vision Online, the industry's leading website for machine vision information; the annual AIA Business Conference, the industry's premier networking event; and the annual Machine Vision Market study, the industry's leading study of machine vision use throughout the world.
More than 220 companies are now members of AIA. For more details about AIA and its activities, contact AIA Headquarters at 734/994-6088.
