Smart Vision Lights Modifies Prox Spot Lights to Work at Long Distances
POSTED 04/20/2018
MUSKEGON, Mich. — Smart Vision Lights, a leading designer and manufacturer of high-brightness LED lights for industrial applications, introduces the SX30 (N4), a modified version of its SX30 Prox Spot Light. The SX30 (N4) is designed to work over long distances, thanks to its very narrow beam of light.
The SX30 (N4)’s 4-degree lens allows for a long, tightly focused beam of light, where a working distance of 2 meters produces a lighting pattern of 200 mm. An integrated constant-current driver enables the light to operate continuously or in on/off input mode, with the option for PNP and NPN input. The ODSX30 (N4) is the strobe-only OverDrive™ version of the light and generates two-and-a-half times as much light as the SX30 (N4).
The industry-standard 5-pin M12 connector makes for simple wiring since external wiring to a driver is unnecessary, and the 1–10 V DC analog control line gives the user total control over intensity. Available in multiple mounting options, the SX30-N4 works best for bright-field and projector applications.
Both the SX30 (N4) and the ODSX30 (N4) have a single 5 W LED in a small 30 mm barrel sensor housing. The housing is industry-standard threaded-barrel M30 x 1.5 style used for proximity and photoelectric sensors.
Standard wavelength colors for the SX30 (N4) and the ODSX30 (N4) are white, 470 nm blue, 505 nm cyan, 530 nm green, 625 nm red, and 850/940 nm IR. The lights are also available in Smart Vision Lights’ SWIR LEDs. Additional wavelengths are available upon request.
