RVSI Receives $250,000 Order for Machine Vision Equipment for Packaging Inspection

NASHUA, NEW HAMPSHIRE - June 16, 2004 - Robotic Vision Systems, Inc. (RVSI)(RVSI.OB) today said its Acuity CiMatrix Division has received an order for its Visionscape® machine vision products for use in packaging inspection at an international consumer products company.  The value of the order is in excess of $250,000 and brings the value of products ordered on behalf of this customer to approximately $1 million during RVSI's current fiscal year.

The order was received through the customer's system integrator and the equipment will be shipped over the balance of 2004.
