PPT VISION, Inc. Receives Record $3.7 Million Purchase Order

POSTED 08/18/2000

MINNEAPOLIS, August 17 /PRNewswire/ -- PPT VISION, Inc. (Nasdaq: PPTV) announced today that it has received an order exceeding US $3.7 million as part of its long-term original equipment manufacturing (OEM) supply agreement with Tokyo Weld, Co., Ltd.  Tokyo Weld is a world leader in developing and manufacturing a broad range of high speed passive component assembly and test equipment.  Tokyo Weld's products are sold to electronic parts manufacturing companies throughout the world.  PPT VISION's high speed machine vision inspection systems are integrated with Tokyo Weld's high performance passive component production equipment to perform 100%, on-line inspection tasks of individual components.  The Company expects to begin shipping units covered by this order in September 2000.
