Pleora Technologies announces the opening of its Copenhagen office, led by industry veteran Gunnar Jonson. The opening of an office in Europe further demonstrates the company’s commitment to service growing demand in the region.
Pleora Technologies, a leader in industrial video connectivity, is pleased to announce that it has established a European office — located in Copenhagen, Denmark — to better serve its customers and channel partners located in Europe and the Middle East. Pleora’s European expansion follows on the recent addition of a dedicated sales engineering resource, based in Shanghai, responsible for assisting product integrations in China and Taiwan. Pleora is also planning a significant expansion of its headquarters location in Ottawa, Canada, during the latter half of 2013.
Leading Pleora’s European office will be Gunnar Jonson, a sales and marketing executive with over 20 years’ experience in the vision industry, working with manufacturers of cameras, sensors, and components used in automated inspection systems. Mr. Jonson previously established the first European office for DALSA Corporation, was responsible for Product Management and Marketing at camera manufacturer JAI A/S, and most recently served as Marketing Director at Copenhagen Sensor Technology A/S, a manufacturer of cameras for military and defense applications.
“Pleora has a great reputation in Europe”, says Mr. Jonson. “With its outstanding track record in Europe, and its robust product line, I’m excited about becoming part of the team”.
“For more than a decade, Pleora has enjoyed great success in the EMEA region”, says Rudi Rincker, Vice President of Business Development at Pleora Technologies. “The opening of our European office will allow us to further strengthen our relationships with our channel partners, and enhance our contributions to our customers’ success”.
Both Mr. Rincker and Mr. Jonson will represent Pleora Technologies at the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) Business Conference, beginning June 6, 2013 in Barcelona, Spain, along with Mr. George Chamberlain, President of Pleora Technologies. All three Pleora representatives would be pleased to answer any questions about Pleora’s expansion.
