Pleora Connects with Phase 1 to Expand US Distribution

Skilled Phase 1 team to distribute and support Pleora's innovative video networking solutions for Sony block cameras in all US regions
OTTAWA, CANADA:  Pleora Technologies, a world leader in networked video connectivity solutions for mission-critical systems, and Phase 1 Technology Corp., a leading distributor of machine vision products, today announced a deal that gives US-based OEMs and systems integrators convenient access to, and skilled applications support for, Pleora's video networking solutions for Sony block cameras.

Under the agreement, Phase 1 will distribute and provide applications support for these Pleora solutions in all US regions. The solutions transform Sony block cameras into high-performance, fully compliant GigE Vision® and GenICam ™ products, allowing them to transport imaging data over high-bandwidth Ethernet-based video networks in real-time, with low and consistent latency.

Pleora's networking solutions for Sony block cameras are based on the iPORT™ SB-Pro IP engines and the eBUS™ SDK, with its eBUS Universal Pro driver . For the target applications, the solutions pair nicely with other elements in Pleora's video networking portfolio, such as its vDisplay™ HDI-Pro IP engines, a line of video receivers that shrinks the size, cost, and power consumption of real-time viewing stations.

Pleora’s iPORT SB-Pro IP engines, first unveiled in November 2010, integrate with the popular and proven Sony FCB-H11 high-definition color block camera, and key members of the newly-introduced FCB-EX E series . An additional iPORT SB-Pro IP engine, scheduled for release in the coming weeks, will complement FCB-EH series cameras.
