The PL-C series cameras will feature:
- Smaller size – Comparing PL-C cameras to
- PL-B CMOS – 38% smaller
- PL-B CCD – 45% smaller
- Board-level cameras have just 2 'camera electronics' boards vs. 3 in PL-A / PL-B. 33% less camera hardware
- Lower power
- Power over hirose connection. No separate power connection like in the PL-B cameras
- FireWire B (1394b)
- Very fast time to market for new sensor models, or sensor manufactures. (Custom applications)
- DCAM v1.32 support
- 5.0MP Resolution (color and mono)
