PixeLINK expands line of autofocus cameras with the introduction of support for M12 lenses.

Boston, MA: PixeLINK® announces production of the world’s first industrial line of USB 3.0 autofocus M12 (S-Mount) cameras with integrated autofocus liquid lenses.

The enhanced line of M12 autofocus cameras integrates electronically focus controllable lenses into PixeLINK camera technology. Liquid lenses reconfigure themselves in tens of milliseconds, allowing for fast focus changes.

“The line of M12auto focus cameras from PixeLINK will enable customers to use immediately our range of Caspian M12 modules, with no camera development efforts. Varioptic liquid lens technology provides customers very fast focus without using any mechanical parts and supports a wide range of focal lengths. The technology is well suited for medical, biometric (facial and iris recognition), machine vision and biotechnology applications.” says Samuel Grand, Business Unit Director at Varioptic.

PixeLINK’s autofocus cameras are compact, use low power consumption, have high shock resistance, and are available in both monochrome and color. The cameras are very fast and provideauto focus capability from 4 mm to infinity.
