PanelScan™ Traceability Technology Showcased at IPC APEX Expo
RENTON, WA — Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode traceability solutions for the electronics industry, announces it will showcase its PanelScan™ PCB Traceability System in Booth #838 at the upcoming IPC APEX electronics conference and exhibition, scheduled to take place March 25-27, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV. PanelScan™ is a user-friendly and easily integrated machine vision solution for capturing 1D and 2D barcode data from multi-array PCBs at the front-end or mid-stream on any SMT line. Microscan will actively demonstrate this integrated system and how it replaces error-prone manual scanning with automated inline reading that keeps production lines moving.
Today’s electronics manufacturers rely on barcode traceability technology to ensure accurate board assembly and assure quality. Microscan’s new PanelScan™ system is uniquely designed to read barcodes on the entire length and width of any PCB array, with an intuitive user interface that allows line operators to quickly train and recall jobs to ensure production is always running.
