November 1 Set as Deadline for Automated Imaging Achievement Award Nominations
Ann Arbor, Michigan - Nominations for the Automated Imaging Achievement Award, the industry's highest honor, are due by November 1, 2000.
The annual award, sponsored by the Automated Imaging Association, honors one industry leader for outstanding contributions in promoting market acceptance of industrial and/or scientific imaging.
Among the past winners are industry leaders such as Dr. Robert Shillman, Chairman, Cognex; Stanley Karandanis, President, Datacube; Gary Wagner, President, Imaging Technology; Ken Levy, Chairman, KLA-Tencor; and Nello Zuech, President, Vision Systems International.
"We encourage everyone involved in the industry to nominate someone who they believe as helped advance the industry," said Jeffrey A. Burnstein, AIA's Executive Director. "The award can be presented to suppliers, users, researchers, consultants - anyone who has helped promote market acceptance of machine vision."
The 2001 award will be presented on Thursday, February 8 at the AIA Business Conference in Orlando. Nominations should be submitted by November 1, 2000 to AIA Headquarters at P.O. Box 3724, Ann Arbor, MI 48106, by fax to 734/994-3338.
