Mr. Gary Kocken Joins PPT VISION, Inc. as Managing Director - North American Sales

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 7 -- PPT VISION, Inc. (Nasdaq: PPTV) announced today that Mr. Gary Kocken has joined the Company in the new position of Managing Director - North American Sales.  Gary brings over 15 years of machine vision sales and application engineering experience to PPT Vision.  Gary spent the first 10 years of his career at PPT Vision in a variety of sales and application engineering capacities.  Most recently, Gary has spent the last 4 years at DVT Corporation (acquired by Cognex Corporation in May 2005) in a regional sales capacity.
