RENTON, WA — Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode, machine vision and lighting solutions, will display its AutoVISION™ machine vision product suite in Booth #2707 at the upcoming IPC APEX Expo, scheduled to take place February 28 - March 1, 2012 at the San Diego Convention Center in California.
Microscan's AutoVISION™ Suite
Electronics manufacturers rely on machine vision to ensure accurate board assembly and achieve “cradle-to-grave” traceability. The AutoVISION™ machine vision software interface aims to simplify the setup and deployment of machine vision applications, while providing a powerful tool set for reliable, high performance inspection and identification. In addition to reading barcodes and Data Matrix codes, AutoVISION™ software automates critical inspection tasks including part location, text reading (OCR), and component verification to help these manufacturers increase throughput and reduce scrap.

AutoVISION™ is available on Microscan’s Vision MINI and Vision HAWK hardware platforms. As the world’s smallest fully-integrated vision system, the Vision MINI smart camera is designed for reliable performance in space-constrained identification and inspection applications. With integrated lighting and autofocus lens, the Vision MINI can be embedded into tight spaces. The Vision MINI features wide angle optics for close range machine vision tasks such as component ID, color matching, Data Matrix reading, and part location. The flexible Vision HAWK industrial smart camera is designed for easy set-up and operation, with liquid lens technology for unlimited autofocus. It is now also available with optional C-mount lens configuration. Both the Vision MINI and the Vision HAWK can be set up and operated with either the AutoVISION™ software or Microscan’s more advanced Visionscape® software interface for maximum flexibility.

Microscan will demonstrate its new AutoVISION™ machine vision products in Booth #2707 along with a selection of its extensive range of barcode products, which includes readers and imagers for any type of 1D or 2D barcode.
