Microscan Recognized Nationally as No. 2 in Quality Leadership

RENTON, Wash., October, 2006 - Microscan Systems, a global leader in the development of bar code technology, achieved 2nd place out of 800 manufacturers considered for Quality magazine’s Quality Leadership 100 survey published in September, 2006. Microscan is the only manufacturer of auto ID equipment on the list, and ranked ahead of Fortune 100 companies such as Honda (3rd) and General Electric (4th) and Delphi (66th).

The criteria used by Quality magazine to evaluate manufacturers included scrap and rework as a percentage of sales; warranty cost as a percentage of sales; rejected parts per million shipped; the number of quality programs in place; and the dedication of employees to quality responsibilities.
