Microscan Hosts Free Hands-On Machine Vision Training in Montreal

POSTED 09/04/2014

Microscan Announces Free New Technology Workshop on October 8, 2014Microscan, a global technology leader in barcode, machine vision and lighting solutions, announces a free New Technology Workshop featuring the latest in easy-to-use machine vision technology. This hands-on event will be hosted by Microscan and Microscan Vision Select Partner Rotalec at the Rotalec head office in Montreal, Quebec, on October 8, 2014. Attendance is free and online registration is available for users from beginner to expert to learn the latest capabilities of automated inspection, from part and label inspection, to barcode quality verification, to remote, web-based inspection monitoring.

Part of Microscan’s Regional Training program, this workshop offers users the chance to get hands-on with Microscan’s award-winning AutoVISION® Machine Vision Software in labs led by Microscan and Rotalec solutions engineers. The AutoVISION machine vision family, including the new CloudLink mobile monitoring interface and Vision MINI Xi miniature Ethernet smart camera, will be showcased during the workshop. Attendees will be guided to create their own CloudLink dashboard from AutoVISION’s software emulator to see real-time inspection data from their machine vision job displayed in a web browser. After practicing with the software, attendees will be invited to meet and collaborate with automation experts from both Microscan and Rotalec to learn how new technology can benefit their operations with faster production speeds, fewer errors, and less waste using the simplest barcode reading and inspection technology on the market. Machine vision and auto ID technology experts will be available to offer one-on-one guidance on attendees’ specific applications and automation projects, and attendees are invited to bring their parts and codes to the event to discuss with the Microscan and Rotalec teams. Special discounts on AutoVISION smart cameras are available to all participants as a part of the training program.

Microscan’s new generation of barcode and machine vision inspection tools empower every user to incorporate automation into their operations without the need for advanced training or the hassle of complex technology.
