MicroHAWK Smart Camera Platform Nominated for Inspect Award 2017

POSTED 07/14/2016

Microscan MicroHawk Smart Camera Platform Nominated for Inspect Award 2017Microscan, a global manufacturer and pioneer of miniature barcode imagers and machine vision smart cameras for industrial automation, announces that its MicroHAWK® smart camera platform has been shortlisted for the inspect award 2017 in the category “Automation.”

The jury for the inspect award has selected the most innovative solutions nominated in three categories: Vision, Automation and Control. The award is provided through the German magazine “inspect” and readers are invited to cast one vote for each category until September 30, 2016 at www.inspect-award.com. By voting, readers will take part in a prize drawing for a high-quality reflex camera. Solutions that receive the most votes in each category will be announced as winners of the award at VISION taking place in Stuttgart this November.

Based on user-focused engineering, MicroHAWK is designed to simplify the integration and user experience of data acquisition and automation based on data acquired from images by providing a single imaging solution for auto ID to machine vision applications. With Microscan’s complete machine vision toolset now available for MicroHAWK cameras, users can accomplish a spectrum of automated applications including barcode reading, product tracking, traceability, verification, inspection, gauging, and guidance on one single platform. MicroHAWK smart cameras offer an array of configurable hardware options (lens, focus, sensor, lighting, and more) to take on any decoding or machine vision job in three micro form factors (MV-20, MV-30, or MV-40), the largest model measuring 25 mm x 45 mm x 45 mm.
